Building a collective for comic book fans

hi-octane comics is a passion project which combines the skills, experience, education, and love for comic books. Lead by owner Robby Breadner, hi-octane comics takes his appreciation for the medium, from a unique perspective that includes his fine arts, graphic design, and photography education, his own love of illustrating, decades of design, and career in commercial arts. In addition, Robby has years experience in the print industry, understanding paper stocks, printing presses, knowing the difference between a superior print job while understanding the process from beginning to end. It gives him a unique perspective knowing what goes into a premium printed comic book.

It’s his familiarity of all these facets, along with his web development, and marketing skills – not to mention his love of collecting comics (since 1976) – that give him his qualified perspective in the industry.

About Us

The passion for comic books began as far back as the 1970s. A childhood love of adventure and creativity was held for years. Then the collecting was paused for some decades. A return to the passtime was rekindled in late 2020, as attention was given to the evolved quality of illustration, artistry, and print.

This site was built with the skills acquired over a career in the communications, and commercial art and creative industries. Enjoy this passion project as it evolves, and the love of everything about comic books is shared.
